About this tool
An SEO title has two jobs: tell Google what the page is about, and convince people searching to click on your result over the others. Most titles do one of these badly. This tool writes titles that fit within the 60-character limit, include the target keyword in the right place, and are written for humans to click.

Frequently asked questions
- Where should the keyword be in the title?
- As close to the start as possible. Google gives more weight to words at the beginning of a title tag, and readers scan the first few words to decide whether to click.
- How long should an SEO title be?
- Under 60 characters. Google truncates titles in search results beyond approximately 580px of width, which is around 55–60 characters for most fonts.
- Should I use the same title and H1?
- They can be different. The title tag is for search results; the H1 is for people on the page. The H1 can be slightly longer or more detailed than the title tag.
